Abstract

Pada saat ini perkembangan teknologi sangat berperan penting dalam memudahkan perpindahan data gambar namun dengan banyak data yang diterima tidak seimbang dengan kapasitasmemori yang dimilikisehingga membuat memori menjadi lambat bekerja atau lelet maka disarankan untuk melakukan proses kompresi lebih dahulu terkhusus pada file berkapasitas besar. Teknik kompresi biasanya digunakan untuk proses transmisi data dan penyimpan data keuntungan data yang terkompresi antara lain menghemat penyimpanan data memudahkan distribusi data dengan media elektronik maupun media removable seperti flasdisk, cd, dpd, dan lain lain
