Abstract

Masalah yang kerap dialami oleh pengguna telepon pintar atau biasa juga disebut smart phone adalah minimnya kapasitas memori untuk menyimpan data baik audio, maupun berbentuk dokumen, terlebih lagi jika smart phone tersebut hanya memiliki 2 slot sim card, sehingga tidak memungkinkan untuk melakukan tambahan kapasitas terhadap memori eksternal. Hal tersebut juga diperparah oleh banyaknya aplikasi bawaan smart phone tersebut, sehingga menjadikan semakin minimnya penyimpanan data tersebut. Namun hal ini dapat diatasi apabila melakukan proses kompresi pada aplikasi maupun data yang berkapasitas besar, salah satu algoritma yang dapat diterapkan terhadap kompresi suatu data adalah Algoritma Elias Omega Code.
