Abstract

Access to clean water and sanitation is one of the core foundations of a healthy, prosperous and peaceful society. Poor sanitation is also a significant contributor to water pollution which can affect productivity in daily life. The current sanitation conditions in the observation area in some areas still do not have access to technically adequate sanitation, therefore a study is needed regarding the selection of a decision support system using the MAUT method to carry out systematic quantitative comparisons for several alternative solutions to the problem of selecting a system for implementing wastewater treatment installations. (IPAL) which will be used to increase access to sanitation in the Pulang Pisau Regency area, Central Kalimantan Province. The alternative choice is the Local Domestic Wastewater Treatment System (SPALD-S) which consists of a Communal Septic Tank, Rural Individual Septic Tank, Urban Individual Septic Tank, and a Centralized Domestic Wastewater Treatment System (SPALD-T), namely a Communal IPAL min. 25 families, Communal IPAL min 50 families, as well as 3R Waste Management Site (TPS 3R) and Drainage Channels. Criteria assessment and criteria weighting are taken based on the possibility of implementation and regional characteristics of several selected alternatives. After analyzing the MAUT method, the weighting value obtained shows the best ranking assessment from highest to lowest, the Rural Individual Septic Tank alternative is ranked 1st with a total weight 48.33, followed by Waste Management Site 3R (TPS 3R) with a value of 34.33, Urban Individual Septic Tank 26.33, Drainage Channel 23.67, as well as Communal Septic Tank, Communal IPAL min 25 kk, and Communal IPAL 50 families with a total weight value for each alternative of 6
