Abstract

Horticultural plants are plants that are usually grown by people in gardens or yards, such as vegetables, fruits, ornamental plants, and medicinal plants. Horticulture is one of the sub-sectors in the agricultural sector that has the potential to be developed because it has a fairly high economic value. The area for planting horticultural crops must be a favorable area such as a good climate or weather, fertile soil, temperature, and sufficient land. The development of artificial intelligence technology that has occurred has enabled decision support systems to be applied in determining agricultural areas with programming languages. One of them is in providing information on various issues, especially in determining agricultural areas. The decision support system method used is the AHP (Analytical Hierarchy Process) method which has the ability to easily separate subjective elements from an evaluation process into decision weight criteria that have several attributes that can display the final results of several agricultural areas of horticultural crops. With the facilities provided to users, it is possible to use this system according to their individual needs. Users are given the convenience of finding information about the criteria for horticultural crop farming areas. This decision support system is made using Microsoft Visual Basic 2008 application.
